The spring bear hunt is back.
Your interest in OFAH bear action is not forgotten. You did your part. You were engaged and informed, passionate and relentless. You believed in the OFAH every step of the way. The return of the spring bear hunt is a win that belongs in your heart because the fight for conservation is in your personal value system.
It took the OFAH 21 years; we took on the politicians, the courts, the media and the anti-hunting groups, never giving up on the science, the economy and our heritage that absolutely needs Ontario’s spring bear hunt.
Many OFAH supporters never even hunted spring bear before it was cancelled in 1999. They knew if a hunt could be canned based on misinformation and money, what outdoor tradition would propaganda threaten next. This is the reason they join a hunting organization. We have to stick together.
The best way to celebrate the spring bear hunt is to hunt spring bear which opens this Friday. As always, bear hunters turn to Ontario OUT of DOORS magazine for information, and they count on the OFAH for representation. Whether you hunt spring bear or not, your trust in the OFAH is your most profound statement of support for this epic conservation win.
